On Feb 2nd, I realized three of my assignments were still not peer-graded!! It was really stressful to think that if my assignments were not graded in time, then the course was not truly considered "completed." If the course was not completed, I would then have to pay another $41 to have my scores in and get the badge the next month. On Feb 1st, I submitted all my assignments for course 6 and wished to get my badge in hand and cancel the subscription before Coursera charged me another $41 on Feb 4th. Take myself for example: I was usually billed on the 4th of each month. Later courses (especially course 6-capstone) have a lot of peer-reviewed assignments, so make sure to plan for the time waiting for others to review your submissions. For example: "W1_3_1_Introduction to Scrum."Ĥ. In each folder, I then created Google docs and name them this way: W#_unit#_lesson#_lesson title. In each folder, I also set up folders for week 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. After complete course 6, I spent ~10 hours just to go back and copy+save all the materials from course 1-5 as Google docs-You don't want to do this, trust me! So please learn from my mistake!- I found it very useful to format and colorcode key ideas and sentences directly on the Google doc while I was watching the course videos.- I set up folders for course 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. I didn't do so until halfway through course 5. This will help a lot when you do quizzes, assignments, or simply just for review at a later time. While doing the courses, make sure to save the video transcript and other materials (readings, discussion questions, quiz questions, activity prompts/templates) to your Google drive or personal computer. I was able to complete the first 4 courses within 2 months (spending 2-5 hours each time, ~5 days a week). And then, I got distracted by things at work and in life and didn't do course 5&6 for 5 anwhile I was still paying for the $41 monthly subscription fee.I resumed at the end of 2021 and managed to complete course 5&6 in 3-4 weeks (again, 2-7 hours each time and did this almost every day) and get the badge.ģ. I watched all the videos at a 1.5/1.75/2x speed, did the assignments as quickly as possible (while memory is still fresh). The best way to complete the program is to plan for 2-3 months and just power through the courses-this will require self-discipline and time management, but it's totally doable! You will lose access to the course materials but you get to keep your badge.Ģ. You can definitely cancel your subscription after completing all 6 courses. I didn't receive answers to my questions but I just recently completed the certificate program and could share my thoughts:ġ. But if you are on a stable job maybe you should pursue a more specific certification (say PMP, prince, or go to agile ecosystem.) If it worth or not depends on your field, in my case certificates give points in project calls and it kinda gives a surfing the top of the wave feel. And there is no need to pay for the certificate
